The Yankees seriously need to step up there game. Theres only two people on the roster with a batting average above .300 ( Jeter and Cano). Thats not really saying much considering that the highest is 305.

If they continue to struggle against teams like the Nationals and the Marlins, then were in for a long season. They started off slow then caught on and won a string of games and now they are back to struggling again. As Mark Tex continues to bat in front of Arod, his numbers have been ridiculous. He needs to keep up this nasty season that he's having so far throughout the rest of the year. He's proven himself as a great defendor and offensive power man.

The next series is against Atlanta. This is a must win series because after that they have the Mets again for another classic subway series. Those games are always fun to watch because the fans are always into the games cheering and jeering. Chien Ming Wang is up next for the starting rotation. This is his time to get a quality start. He is struggling the most with his 0-5 record and ridiculous 12.30 ERA. I strongly believe that if he gets beat in his next start that Phil "Franchise" Hughes needs to be injected into the starting rotation. He's very young at 22 and has proven that he can do well out of the bullpen. I think he has gained the confidence he needs to become a good starter.
